How much does it cost to rent a boat in Rio de Janeiro?

Boat rental in Rio de Janeiro at WeBoat starts at R$ 2.300 para trips de segunda a quinta, e R$ 2.700 Friday to Sunday.

The price varies according to:

  • Boat capacity (10 to 65 people)
  • Day of the week (weekdays are more affordable)
  • Route and trip duration

All boats include fuel, captain, Bluetooth speakers and coolers. See the full list of available boats.

What is included in the boat rental?

Every WeBoat boat rental includes:

  • Fuel for the chosen route
  • Captain licensed by the Brazilian Navy
  • Floating mat
  • Pool noodles
  • Bluetooth speakers
  • Coolers
  • Mandatory insurance
  • Life jackets

Services such as BBQ, open bar and decoration are optional. Check out all available extra services.

How does the booking work?

The booking is simple and quick:

  • Choose the boat and desired date
  • Pay a 50% deposit to confirm
  • The remainder must be paid by the time of boarding

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept the following payment methods:

  • PIX - Preferred method, no additional fees
  • Bank transfer - No additional fees
  • Credit card - Card processing fees apply, up to 12 installments with interest
  • Debit card - Card processing fees apply

The 50% deposit confirms the reservation. The remainder must be paid by boarding.

What is the cancellation policy?

The 50% deposit secures your reservation and is non-refundable for personal, family, or health reasons. By booking, we stop offering the boat to other interested parties.

Need to cancel or reschedule? Contact us as soon as possible! Our goal is not to keep your deposit. If we find another client for your date, we release the amount for refund or rescheduling.

No-show: Results in the loss of the deposit, with no right to rescheduling or refund.

How far in advance should I book?

There is no minimum or maximum time to make your reservation. However, during high-demand periods (summer, extended holidays, New Year's Eve), we recommend booking at least 30 days in advance to secure the best boat and date options.

During the Trip

Can I bring drinks and food?

Yes! You can bring your own drinks and food at no extra cost. We provide coolers for storage.

Note: There is an additional fee to use the BBQ grill.

Regarding packaging:

  • PET bottles and cans are allowed
  • Glass containers are accepted only for wines, champagnes, whiskies and spirits

We also offer optional BBQ services (from R$ 100/person) and open bar (from R$ 135/person).

What is forbidden to bring on the boat?

To ensure the safety and conservation of the vessel, the following is not allowed:

  • Tanning oils (use sunscreen)
  • Red wine
  • Hookah
  • Fireworks
  • Confetti
  • Glass (except wines, champagnes, whiskies and spirits)
What if it rains on the day of the trip?

Rescheduling is only possible in case of heavy rain that makes the trip impossible. Cloudy weather or light rain does not qualify for rescheduling, as the boats have awnings.

In case of poor sailing conditions, the route may be automatically changed to Guanabara Bay, ensuring your experience safely.

What is the difference between the routes?

The difference between routes is in sailing time versus time anchored. The total trip duration is always the same for the chosen shift (5 hours).

  • Shorter routes (R1-R2): Less sailing time, more time anchored for swimming and fun
  • Longer routes (R4-R5): More sailing time, visiting more places, less time anchored

Available shifts:

  • Morning: 09:00 - 14:00 (5 hours)
  • Afternoon: 14:30 - 19:30 (5 hours)

Choose the route according to what you prefer: more time relaxing in the water or visiting more destinations!

Do I need to arrive early?

Yes! Arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

Important: Late arrival time will be deducted from the total trip time. Being on time ensures you enjoy every minute!

Do I need to know how to swim for the trip?

You do not need to know how to swim. During the trip, we provide pool noodles and floating mat for water fun. Life jackets are available for emergencies.

We provide all safety guidelines about swimming, but the final decision to enter the water is the passengers' responsibility.

Can I choose the music during the trip?

Yes! All boats have Bluetooth speakers. You can connect your phone and play your own playlists throughout the trip.

For parties and special events, we offer an onboard DJ service. The presence of DJ and sound equipment must be confirmed in advance, including the power allowed for the hired vessel.

Can I smoke on board?

Smoking is allowed only in outdoor areas of the boat, following the vessel rules and being careful not to damage the floor and seats. We ask that cigarette butts be disposed of properly.

Atenção: Hookah é proibido a bordo.

How does the restroom work?

All our own boats have a restroom on board for greater comfort.

Important: Do not flush paper or any material down the toilet. If the system is damaged, a maintenance fee will be charged.

How many people fit in a boat?

WeBoat has 5 own boats for different group sizes:

  • WeBoat 32: Up to 15 people
  • WeBoat 390: Up to 16 people
  • WeBoat Oceanic 36: Up to 14 people
  • WeBoat Rio Star 50: Up to 22 people
  • WeBoat 420: Up to 12 people (exclusive flybridge)

Important: Everyone counts as a passenger toward the vessel limit, regardless of age, weight or size.

Do the boats have a restroom?

Yes! All boats (own and partner) have a restroom on board for greater passenger comfort.

Do the boats have a BBQ grill?

Yes! All our boats have a BBQ grill. However, use requires booking an additional service.

Prices range from R$ 250 to R$ 600, depending on the vessel and what is included in the package. Contact us for more information.

What is the difference between the boats?

Each boat has its own features:

What if there is a problem with the boat on the day?

In case of problems with the hired vessel, we provide similar or superior options to ensure your trip.

If you do not approve any of the options offered, we will provide a full refund of the amount paid.

Can I have a bachelorette party on a boat?

Yes! A bachelorette party on a boat is one of our most popular experiences.

We offer a complete kit with:

  • Themed decoration (bridal sash, balloons, accessories)
  • Open bar with special drinks
  • Custom playlist
  • Photo props

The WeBoat 390 (up to 16 people) is the most popular for bachelorette parties.

Do you offer New Year's Eve trips?

Yes! New Year's Eve on a boat is a unique experience to watch the Copacabana fireworks from the sea.

The trip is 5 hours long, with suggested hours of 9pm to 2am (flexible based on your preference). Extra hours are charged separately.

Attention: Spots are limited and tend to sell out months in advance. Book as soon as possible!

Can I have a birthday party on a boat?

Yes! A birthday party on a boat is a unique way to celebrate.

We offer:

  • Custom decoration with balloons and banner
  • Decorated cake (optional)
  • BBQ e open bar
  • Table for cake and sweets

The birthday person can bring their own cake at no extra cost.

Do you cater to corporate events?

Yes! We serve companies for gatherings, team building, awards and executive meetings.

Can I hire a DJ, photographer or bartender?

Yes! We offer DJ services (R$ 1,500) and photographer (R$ 800). We also have open bar options with bartender included.

Important: Hired professionals (DJ, bartender, photographer, etc.) count as passengers toward the vessel limit.

Where is Marina da Gloria?

Marina da Gloria is located at Av. Infante Dom Henrique, S/N, in the Gloria neighborhood, Rio de Janeiro.

Privileged location:

  • Next to Santos Dumont Airport
  • Easy access by car, taxi or Uber
  • Close to Aterro do Flamengo

Important: All passengers must board and disembark at the same location.

Is there parking at the marina?

Yes! Marina da Gloria has a paid parking lot managed by ESTAPAR. For a trip of approximately 5 hours, the cost is around R$ 70.

Prices may be updated by ESTAPAR without prior notice.

You can also get there by taxi, Uber or public transport (Gloria metro station + walking).

What should I bring for the trip?

We suggest bringing:

  • Swimwear and change of clothes
  • Sunscreen (tanning oil is not allowed) and sunglasses
  • Towel
  • Drinks and snacks (if not hiring a service)
  • Camera or phone for photos

Attention: We are not responsible for personal items left on board.

What areas does WeBoat cover?

A WeBoat atende toda a região metropolitana of Rio de Janeiro. How to get to Marina da Gloria?

A Marina da Gloria fica na Av. Infante Dom Henrique, S/N, Glória.

  • De carro: acesso fácil pela Aterro do Flamengo (estacionamento no local por aproximadamente R$ 70)
  • De metrô: estação Glória (linha 1 verde), a 10 min de caminhada
  • De Uber/táxi: ponto de referência Marina da Gloria, entrada pela portaria principal

Children, Pets & Accessibility

Can I bring children on the trip?

Yes! There is no age restriction for children.

We only ask that guardians:

  • Pay attention to the rules of the initial briefing
  • Follow the captain's instructions

We suggest using children's recreational life vests when swimming. All children count toward the vessel's passenger limit.

Can I bring a dog on the boat?

We allow small dogs without prior consultation.

For medium and large dogs, please contact our team via WhatsApp before booking.

Can pregnant women take the trip?

Yes! There is no restriction for pregnant women.

However, we recommend choosing more sheltered routes, such as:

  • Mureta da Urca - Calm sailing in Guanabara Bay
  • Praia Vermelha - Calm waters and relaxing stops
Are the boats wheelchair accessible?

Our vessels do not have specific accessibility for wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility.

However, we have welcomed many clients with these conditions. Our crew, along with family and friends, can help with boarding and during the trip.

Important: Access to the onboard bathroom is quite limited, especially for wheelchair users.

Policies & Rules

What are the vessel usage rules?

Our vessels are intended for nautical tourism and family leisure activities.

Any misuse, such as illicit activities, drug use or indecent acts, will result in the immediate interruption of the trip and possible legal action.

Do you use photos from the trip for promotion?

By hiring our services, the client authorizes the use of images from the trip for promotion on our social media and marketing materials.

If you prefer that your photos not be used, just inform our team.

Can the boat dock alongside other boats?

No. The chartered vessel cannot dock alongside other boats due to safety and regulatory reasons.

What are the business hours?
